ShipsDNA legal
Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern access to the ShipsDNA website, portal, data products, developer services, trials and related professional tools.
Operator and agreement
ShipsDNA and related products are operated by GDNA Group Ltd in the United Kingdom. These Terms apply when you visit, register for, purchase or use a ShipsDNA service. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.
Accounts and access
You must provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials and promptly report suspected misuse. Access is personal to the registered user unless a written team or enterprise arrangement says otherwise. We may suspend access where necessary to protect customers, data, systems or contractual rights.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid portal plans renew at the billing interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and provides invoices, payment-method controls, plan management and cancellation. Prices and applicable taxes are shown before payment.
Maritime data and permitted use
ShipsDNA information supports professional research and decision-making but is not a substitute for independent verification, legal advice, class records, flag-state records, surveys or other authoritative sources. You may not resell, republish, scrape, systematically reconstruct or provide third-party access to ShipsDNA datasets without written permission.
Developer Console and API
API access is governed by the resources, scopes, quotas, status and commercial package assigned to the API account. API keys must be kept confidential and must not be embedded in public client code. API packages are billed separately unless a written agreement expressly includes them.
Trials and previews
Any trial or preview is limited to its stated duration, resources, delay and quota. Trial access may expire automatically and does not create a right to production data, a production key or continued access. Automated API trials are not currently offered unless ShipsDNA confirms one in writing.
Acceptable use
You must not attempt unauthorised access, evade quotas, share accounts or credentials, interfere with service operation, introduce malicious code, use the service unlawfully or use ShipsDNA data to facilitate sanctions evasion, fraud or harm. Security testing requires prior written authorisation.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep ShipsDNA accurate and available, but maritime data can be delayed, incomplete, estimated or changed by its sources. Services are provided subject to reasonable maintenance and operational limits.
Privacy, changes and law
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. We may update these Terms for legal, security, commercial or service reasons and will publish the current version. Material changes may require renewed acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you.
